He looks like a sea monster, but he's only six inches in length! And despite his scary name, the Vampire Squid's place in the ocean hangs in a delicate balance. Pollution, overfishing and global warming all threaten to squash the populations of this amazing creature and others like him we have yet to discover, according to Senior Scientist Bruce Robison of the Monterey Bay Aquarium.
